D-M based helicopter formations flying loud just south of downtown over the Armory Park/Santa Rita Park neighborhood.
DM activated this route during winter 02-03, and plans to triple helicopter use over these old, dense urban areas (Col. W. George, DM, personal communication).
In addition to military helicopters, this route also has new daily use by D-M based U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security helicopters.
